Does anyone remember the beloved “tie skirt” from the hit 90’s sitcom ‘Blossom’? Well we do, and we still haven’t forgotten how excited we were to try to make our own! Designers brought back a similar concept, albeit chicer, this fall with the “car wash skirt.” It’s definitely one of the freshest and most interesting trend of late. While most styles have been shown hitting just above or under the knee, J.Crew had a fresh take with a totally amazing maxi! The detail is a clever way to show some leg without the too-revealing effect, while it also offers a nice change for the typical thigh-high slit. It’s easy to combine with different elements in your closet, from a sharp button up to a cozy sweater!
