With more than half of Americans under a “stay at home” order, athleisure fashion by way of sweats has returned as the steady choice for most. In recent years, fashion saw a rise in the hangout-meets-exercise gear trend due to changing consumer behaviors, and now in these uncertain times, values and priorities have again shifted from maximum effort to staying comfortable while remaining out of the public eye. The changes can also be seen on runways. Designers like Balenciaga, Tommy Hilfiger, Iceberg and House of Holland have featured sweats in their newest spring/summer 2020 collection.
