About us

Lizz Adams
A Southern California native, Lizz is a co-founder and buyer of Fashion Scouts LA. Lizz worked in retail for many years while earning degrees in English from UC Santa Barbara and in Fashion Merchandise Marketing from FIDM Los Angeles. During her time as an apparel buyer at an esteemed buying office, she developed an expert eye for spotting sought-after trends and wholesale lines. In doing so, she realized there was a gap in the market: a service to connect retailers with the most relevant, on-trend vendors and product. This insight led to the creation of FSLA in 2005 with her partner, Amy.
A constant presence in wholesale showrooms over the years, Lizz has built invaluable relationships with vendors across all categories. In addition to her expertise in trend spotting and vendor relations, Lizz has honed her skills in fashion editing and copywriting, crafting compelling reports for FSLA. Lizz is passionate about the ever-evolving nature of fashion and loves identifying new ways to help retailers thrive within it.

Amy Menzie
Amy, co-founder and buyer at Fashion Scouts LA, is originally from Ohio and holds a B.A. in Fashion Marketing and an A.A. in Retail Management. She has worked both in-store and as a buyer for multiple retailers and at a high-volume Los Angeles buying office. In 2005, she partnered with Lizz to launch Fashion Scouts LA, giving clients trusted access to the best pricing, exclusive inventory, and expert trend insights.
Amy has a knack for sourcing unique, hard-to-find product. Her latest focus is venturing beyond apparel, exploring new, non-apparel categories to uncover fresh, high-margin opportunities that help clients stand apart and stay ahead in a competitive retail landscape. With 25+ years of experience in the industry, Amy has cultivated numerous long-term, strategic vendor relationships, and is dedicated to connecting retailers with vendor opportunities that maximize profitability.
